On Saturday night, alongside the Lightning Bolt legends Rory Russell and Craig Hollingsworth we are stoked to be hosting one of the finest craftsman in the surf industry – Paul Blacker. He shaped for Chapter Surfboards, Lazer, Lightning Bolt UK and Blacker Surfboards.
He has been making custom surfboard designs now for over forty five years and seen all of the era’s of surfboard design through from the 60’s to the present day.
His factory is situated in Knowle, North Devon just outside of Braunton, where his surfboards have been produced for the past 28 years.
His boards are 100% hand shaped and finished by himself, so that every stage of the production is carried out personally from the shape, through to final finish.
A true master craftsman!
