Wooden surfboard workshops with Guy Butcher at The Museum of British Surfing
Saturday 18th May 10am to 4pm or Sunday 19th May 10am until 4pm
Spend a day hand shaping, from start to finish a board from Guy’s range. A pre-laminated board blank will be supplied for the day. Using hand tools you’ll shape and finish that board. In addition, so that the whole construction process can be explored the day will start by assembling and vacuum laminating a second blank that will be ready by the end of the day, to take away and shape later.
Your choice can be any board in Guy’s range from a handplane through bellyboards to a full sized paipo. If you have an idea of something else you would like to make then please contact Guy so you can talk through the options with him.
Your own bench and all materials will be supplied.
A £40.00 deposit secures your place on the course, balance payable on the day.
