Students from various parts of Brazil paid a special visit to the Museum of British Surfing in North Devon this week as part of an international education programme.
The young people are being hosted for an 11-week period by Exeter College to learn about travel, tourism & leisure here in the UK. The group were welcomed by surfing museum founder Peter Robinson, and spent an hour soaking up the sights and sounds of British surf heritage before heading to Saunton and Croyde to see our local beaches and surf shops.
They checked out the current exhibition ‘The First Wave’ which tells the story of British surfing pioneers over the last century; found about how marine litter affects our beaches and soaked up more than 200 years or surf history – they even racked up some good scores on our 1976 pinball machine!
