1978 - 1978 Atlantic Surfer is published

The success of British suiting was reflected with the launch in 1978 of Atlantic Surfer – complete with colour surfing photos for the first time in any European publication.

Other surf publishing was more localised, but still eagerly sought out by surfers all over the UK. Ripple from Lowestoft on England’s east coast, rubbed shoulders with Surf Chat in North Devon, and the long running Shorebreak from East Wittering on the Sussex coast in the mid 1970s.
